Hey there! Happy New Year! I’m Jamie, and I’d like to invite you on a journey filled with stories, insights, and discoveries. I wear many hats:

  • An author
  • A writing coach
  • A former addiction counselor
  • A survivor of addiction myself
  • A strong advocate for mental health

My life’s journey is a rich tapestry of experiences, from psychology to military service, all woven together by my deep love for writing.

Last year, my blogging was a bit hit-and-miss — life happens, you know? But this year, I’m determined to post regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with the occasional Sunday post.

I write about all sorts of things, depending on what’s on my mind or happening in the world. But my main focus areas are substance abuse, mental health, the life of a writer, and prison reform. My writing style is quite varied — it really depends on my mood.

Thanks for dropping by and reading this article. I’m excited to share more about myself and my writing process. — Jamie
